MIND ID Maintains 90% Local Supplier Level to Boost National Economic Sovereignty
JAKARTA – MIND ID Group is consistent in maintaining more than 90 percent supplier from local and domestic entrepreneurs as part of its efforts to strengthen the national economy.
This step is taken to boost the use of Domestic Component Level (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri – TKDN), while at the same time, expand economic benefits in the region, in line with the government’s efforts in driving national economic sovereignty.
MIND ID Division Head of Sustainability, Binahidra Logiardi, said that as a holding company of the State Enterprise Mining Industry, MIND ID is not only oriented to the enhancement of business operational performance, but also proactively implements its role as a national economic development driver by continuously involving local suppliers.
“From the chain of suppliers and social aspect, we consider the involvement of local and domestic suppliers very important. The Domestic Component Level (TKDN) is one of the measurements for achievements in our operations and business,” he said.
MIND ID continues to monitor the supplier composition so that the proportion of local and domestic business players remain above 90 percent of total suppliers in all the Group, enabling economic advantages also felt by the areas around operational sites.
The involvement of local suppliers are conducted totally, from exploration to product marketing phase – covering the provision of fuel, heavy equipment, spare parts, contractor service, to distribution activities.
Such approach strengthens regional economy, mitigates the risk of supply disturbances, and raises operational effectivity.
The strengthening of the domestic supply chain is also in line with the policy of the government in strengthening national industrial structure through the increase in the use of domestic products and services as well as mineral downstream development.
It is hoped that this step will raise the national industry capacity, expand opportunities of employment, and widen the multiplier effect for the economy.
“As a state enterprise, we are an agent of development so that economic impact is very important. We support the government’s program to boost national economic sovereignty,” said Binahidra.
